FAQs - Wedding Services

How do I know what Wedding Package is right for me?

Here at Pink Wellie we have three Wedding packages to choose from: 'Give it some Wellie', 'Boots on the ground' and 'Final Steps'. They have been designed to cover the various key stages of wedding planning, allowing you to choose the assistance you need, exactly when you need it. I have also made this handy flow chart to help you work out what package will suit you best, click here to take a look.

What is the difference between 'Final Steps' and 'Boots on the ground?

  • 'Final Steps' starts 8 weeks before your wedding and includes assisting in wrapping up the final weeks of planning, with all your suppliers and venue and assuming the point of contact role for them. On the wedding day I am on then on hand to run and coordinate the day.

  • 'Boots on the ground' is designed for those only looking for assistance on their Wedding day. This package starts with a Pre-Wedding meeting (2 weeks before) and on-the-day coordination.

What do you do on a Wedding day?

Wow - where to start! I aim to be with you about 10am depending on the timeline of the day. When I do arrive, I visit the Bride first and check in with her and her family to see if they need anything (plaster, hanky, glass of fizz anyone?). Then, again depending on the venue and the couple, I will either head to the Groom or check in with the venue to see what is happening and offer support where it is needed. Once I am at the venue, I am setting up or making sure no detail has been overlooked whilst acting as point of contact for all your supplier and guests that start to arrive.

Throughout the day I am following my wedding sheets (created after our pre-wedding meeting) to ensure the day is running as it should and most importantly, checking in with you every so often to make sure you are having a wonderful time. I am on hand to all of your suppliers, the venue,  any guests who have queries and arranging anything you may need. If for any reason, something unplanned crops up, then because I know you and your day in detail I can make any adjustments whilst advocating for you and your priorities. Then, once the first dance is done and you're in full on dance mode, that is when I leave you to dance the night away!

I don't need as much as the 'Final Steps' package but I need more than the 'Boots on the ground' - can we tailor a package?

Absolutely you can! There is no one size fits all approach here. So although we have pre-designed packages available, if they don't quite work for you then let me know and we can tailor something to make sure you get the help and assistance exactly when you need it.

Can you plan a destination wedding?

I love to work with international clients! Get in touch and we can work together to plan your Scottish Destination Wedding.

Do you plan LGBQT Weddings?

Absolutely, EVERYONE is welcome here at Pink Wellie!

Where do you travel to?

I will travel the length and breadth of wonderful Scotland.

What sort of weddings do you plan?

I love planning all sorts of weddings, I really do (Duh, Thea - You'd be in the wrong job otherwise!), but planning a wedding is such a personal experience and one that I believe relies on an element of similarity between both parties. By default, we get to know each other, and I know I speak for all Wedding Planners here, but once you strike up a relationship with a client, you do work that much harder to make sure they get their dream day! So making sure I work with clients who are planning a day for them and filled with their own style and personality is really important to me.

Bonus Point: if you are planning a wedding with a summer florals/garden party vibe then I definitely want to be friends!

Why do you need to see the venue ahead of the day?

I am a planner by nature and with this comes with making sure I have covered all bases (gotta have more than a Plan A). This is why I like to see the venue before hand so that I can familiarise myself with it and nothing is a surprise on the day.

...even if you have been there before?

Yes, even if I have been there before. This is so that I can see the venue within the context of your wedding and I know exactly how YOU want it to be!

I am interested in booking, what do I do now?

That is amazing news - get in touch and you can tell me all about your wedding plans!
